  • Mailing list signup: your name (optional) and email address, so we can send monthly updates and urgent meeting notices.
  • Directory listing, membership, sponsorship, or donation submissions: business/contact name, title, phone number(s), email, website, address, years in business, a description, a logo image, and license number where applicable.
  • Meeting registration and payments: your name and email are collected by our payment processor, Square, during checkout, and shared back with us to confirm your registration or payment.

We do not collect payment card details ourselves. All card information is entered directly into Square's own secure checkout page and is never seen or stored by Westside MAPS.

How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the directory, process meeting registrations, memberships, sponsorships, and donations.
  • To send you communications you've signed up for (monthly updates, urgent meeting changes, payment confirmations).
  • To review and approve directory listing, membership, and sponsorship submissions.
  • To respond to inquiries sent to us directly.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate this website:

  • Square - processes payments securely.
  • Resend - delivers transactional emails (confirmations, updates, notices) on our behalf.
  • Cloudflare - hosts this website and its underlying data.

Information submitted through a directory listing, membership, or sponsorship application (business name, description, contact details, logo) is published publicly on the site once approved, as that is the purpose of the listing.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our admin dashboard uses your browser's local storage to remember preferences (such as which tab you last viewed) - this stays on your own device and is never sent to us. Signing into the admin dashboard uses a secure login cookie required to keep you signed in.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the services above, or as required by law. You may request that we delete your information at any time (see "Your Choices" below).

Your Choices

  • You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by contacting us.
  • You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us.
  • If you submitted a directory listing and want it removed or updated, contact us directly.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
